2012 Tournament Rules & Formats

Sat Jan 14th Individual Flighted

Each player plays his own ball through the 18 holes. Flights will be determined by handicap and number of players. ($20 entry)

Sat Feb 11th Cha, Cha, Cha 2 Man Scramble/Blind Draw

Each team starts play by teeing off from the WHITE tee blocks. They will then decide which ball position to play from. Then both players play from that selected position and do so each shot until the ball is holed out. If the team scores a birdie on the hole, the team will then tee off from the BLUE tee blocks on next hole. If a par was scored then the team will tee off from the WHITE tee blocks on next hole. If the team scores a bogie or higher, then the team will tee of from the RED tee blocks on the next hole. The team then continues to use the scramble format and the appropriate tee blocks through all eighteen holes. Each player must have a minimum of 6 drives anywhere in the 18 holes and marked accordingly on the score card. ($10 entry)

Sat Mar 10th 4 Man Best Ball (NET)

Each player plays his own ball through the 18 holes. The team will use all 4 NET scores added together for the TEAM score on holes 1,5,9,13,& 17. The team will use the best 3 NET scores added together for the team score on holes 2,6,10,14,&18. The team will use the best 2 NET scores added together for the team score on holes 3,7, 11,&15. The team will use the 1 best Net score for the team score on holes 4,8,12,&16. ($10 entry)

Sat Apr14th Individual + 4 Man Best Ball (3 best gross only)

This is 2 events in one. Each player plays his own ball through the 18 holes. Each player keeps his own individual score PLUS the 4 man team uses the 3 best gross scores added together for the team score on each hole. (No points given for team portion of event). ($20 entry)

Sat Apr 21st Indians & Chiefs

Each player plays his own ball through the 18 holes. The CHIEF selects which 1 GROSS and 2 NET scores to use on each hole for the team (gross ball can’t be used for net ball), then add the 3 scores together for the team score on that hole. Do this for each hole prior to teeing off on the next hole. ($25 entry)(added money)

Sat May 12th 2 Man 6-6-6 Pick Your Partner

A maximum of 10 strokes difference in handicap between partners. Each team starts on the 1st hole. Holes 1 thru 6 are a BEST BALL format. Each player plays his own ball through each hole, selecting the best gross score for the team. Holes 7 thru 12 are played in a CHAPMAN format. Each player tees off then each player switches and plays his partners ball. They then decide which is the best ball to play and play that ONE ball in alternate shots till holed out, never hit the same ball twice in a row during the hole. Holes 13 thru 18 are played as a SCRAMBLE format. Each player tees off then they select which ball position they prefer to play from. Each player then plays from that selected position. Then select the next best shot to play from etc. etc. until the ball is holed out. A DRIVE rule will be used in the SCRAMBLE format (2 drives from each player and marked accordingly on the card). ($10 entry)

Sat June 9th 4 Man Choker

Each player plays his own ball through the 18 holes. The team selects the best GROSS score for the 1st hole and that players score is not eligible for the next 3 holes, leaving 3 players available for the next hole. The team then chooses the best GROSS score of those 3 players for the team score on the 2nd hole, and that player is not eligible for the next 2 holes. The team then chooses the best GROSS score of those 2 players for the team score on the 3rd hole, leaving the remaining ONE players GROSS score to be used on the 4th hole. The 5th hole all players are eligible again, then the 6th hole 3 players are eligible for the team score, etc. etc. through all 18 holes. The player selected for each hole must be marked on the card prior to the team teeing up on the next hole to be played. ($10 entry)

Sat July 14th Red, White, Blue / 2 Man Best Ball

Each player plays his own ball through the 18 holes. Holes 1 thru 6 will be played from the BLUE tee blocks. Holes 7 thru 12 will be played from the WHITE tee blocks. Holes 13 thru 18 will be played from the RED tee blocks. The team will choose the best gross score for each hole. ($10 entry)

Sat Aug 18th Individual / 3 Flights

Each player plays his own ball through the 18 holes. Flights will be determined by AGE. The first flight will be 49 and UNDER. The second flight will be 50 through 69. The third flight will be 70 and over. ($10 entry & monies stay in flights)

Sat & Sun Aug 25th & 26th Mens Club Championship

Each player plays his own ball through the 18 holes. This tournament has OPEN , SENIOR , & SUPER SENIOR flights. Must have played in a minimum of 3 Men’s Club events to qualify. ($25 entry)(added money)

 

 

Sat Sep 8th Individual / Modified Stableford

Each player plays his own ball through the 18 holes and scores the holes as follows: DOUBLE BOGIE or higher = minus 1 point, BOGIE = 0 points, PARR = 1 point, BIRDIE = 2 points, EAGLE = 3 points, and DOUBLE EAGLE = 5 points. Score points for each hole then add all points for total score. ($10 entry)

Sat Oct 13th Flighted Singles

Each player plays his own ball through the 18 holes. Flights will be determined by handicap and the number of players. ($20 entry)

Sun Oct 21st Indians & Chiefs

Sat Nov 10th 2 Man Best Ball Gross & Best Ball Net

Each player plays his own ball through the 18 holes. The team picks which score will be used for GROSS and NET after each hole has been played , but prior to teeing up for the next hole to be played.. If the team chooses to play for GROSS, then the team will choose the best GROSS score for the team on each hole and the other players score will count for the net score. If the team chooses to play for NET, then the team will choose the best NET score for the team and the other players score will count for the GROSS score (no one ball will be used for both GROSS and NET). ($10 entry)

Sat Dec 8th 4 Man Scramble

Each player drives from the tee, the team decides which ball position is best and then all players play from that position. The team does this for all shots through the hole until holed out. Continue playing this way throughout the 18 holes. Each player must have a drive on a Par 3, Par 4, and a Par 5. The drives must be marked accordingly on the card. ($10 entry) (added money)

WINTER RULES: Mark the ball, then pick up and clean, then replace the ball within 6 inches of mark. No closer to the hole, anywhere, in the rough or fairway except within 36 inches of the base of a tree, out-of-bounds markers or fence, or within any hazard (including bunkers).

CHAPMAN: Each player tees off, then each player plays the other players ball for one shot. Then the players choose which ball is the best to play, then play that ONE ball and alternate shots with that ONE ball until holed out. Never hitting the same ball two times in a row during that hole, including if penalties are incurred.

SCRAMBLE: Mark and play ball within 1 club length of ball chosen to play, no closer to the hole. Ball must be played from the same cut of grass. If the ball selected is in the rough then all players must play from the rough, no closer to the hole, and the same for the fairway. If the chosen ball to be played is in a hazard, then all players must play from the hazard, (the ball chosen must be played first) then all players must play as close as possible from the original balls position. No relief is given. The club may not be grounded while in the hazard. If the ball chosen is within 30 inches of a non staked tree or out of bounds marker or boundry fence, then no relief is allowed. When the selected ball reaches the green, mark the ball, then each player putts from within 6 inches of the mark and no closer to the hole, until holed out.

 

All Mens Club events will have a $10 entry fee unless otherwise noted.
