2010 TOURNAMENT RULES & FORMATS

CHA,CHA,CHA—Each player starts on the white tee. If you score a birdie you play from the blues tees on the next hole, if you score a par you play from the white tees and if you score a bogey you play from the red tees.

6,6,6 -- This is a 2 man team, the first 6 holes are a scramble, each player tees off and choose which of the 2 positions you want to play from, both players drop and hit from that spot within 1 club length and the balls must remain in whatever length grass the previous shot came to rest in. If the ball comes to rest in the fairway you would play from the fairway, if it came to rest in the rough you would play from the rough etc.

The second 6 holes are chapman, each player tees off, they switch and play each others balls on the second shot and then choose which ball they will play and they alternate that ball through the hole.

The third 6 holes are alternate shot. The teams designate a person to hit the first tee shot and they alternate that ball through the hole.

MEDALIST (INDIVIDUAL or SINGLES)—Each player plays his own ball through the 18 holes.

SCRAMBLE—Each player tees off and they choose which position they will play from between the 2 balls and both players play from that spot, you do this through the green.

INDIANS & CHIEFS—This is a best ball format. Each player plays his own ball and in the Indians & Chiefs you use 3 balls to score, 1 gross and 2 nets combined for 1 score.

BESTBALL—In a standard bestball each player plays his own ball and the best score from the team is the score used for that hole.

RED, WHITE & BLUE—Each player plays from the same tees (hole #1 red tee, hole #2 white tee, hole #3 blue tee) Repeat this rotation through the entire 18 holes.

MODIFIED NET STABLEFORD—Each player plays his own ball and scores his net score as follows.   Double bogey or worse minus 3 points, Bogey minus 1 point, Par 0 points, Birdie plus 1 point, Eagle plus 3 points.

CHOKER—Each player tees off on the first hole, the best score is used on that hole and that players ball cannot be used on the next 3 holes leaving 3 players on hole 2, the best score is used on that hole and that players score cannot be used on the next 2 holes leaving 2 players on the next 2 holes, the best score is used on the next hole leaving only one player to play the last hole for the team score.
